Visa
A travel visa to enter Ethiopia. Clients from other countries
should contact the Ethiopian embassy in their own country
for more information. The website of the Ethiopian Foreign

provides useful information.
Tour
Leader and Guide
An experienced bilingual tour leader is available for groups.
The tour leader meets the group of the airport and will
be with the group throughout the tour. In addition A well
trained local guide is provided in each city.
Hotel
In Ethiopia there are internationally recognized hotels
wherever possible and choose them for their quality, comfort,
location and service.
Food
& Beverage
Buffet breakfast is served in hotels throughout the trip.
It combines Western icons such as bacon and sausage with
Chinese dishes. Tea coffee milk fresh fruit and a variety
of juices are also available. Again choices may be very
limited when we stay at 3 star or lower grade hotels out
of necessity.
Lunch and dinner would be local cuisine served in restaurants
outside the hotels. Tea is included soft drink is limited
to one bottle per client.
Standard lunch or dinner consists of pork of fish or chicken
plus vegetable dishes, soup and rice or noodle.
Vegetarians and clients allergic to certain food items such
as nuts MSG or sesame oil should disclose their dietary
needs at the time of reservation and then remind the tour
leader or local guides once on the tour. Every effort will
be made to satisfy the client's needs; however pathfinder
cannot guarantee the dishes served contain absolutely no
such items.
Motor
Vehicle
Comfortable air conditioned motor coach or minivan will
be used depending on group size. The vehicles are professionally
operated and well maintained. There will be enough empty
seats to ensure everyone's comfort. We do not share vehicle
with strangers.
Additional
Costs
As indicated in Terms & conditions, the tour price does
not include visa fee, airport fees, departure taxes, and
tips for guides, drivers,cook fees for taking pictures of
people and bellhops. Normally USD300 or its equivalent would
be sufficient to cover all the extra expenses including
tipping, when a tour is within 3 weeks.
Tipping
Tipping is customary but not mandatory. The figures below
are only suggestions for your convenience. The recipients
include the tour leader, local guides, drivers, bellhops,
cook and porters.
What
to Wear & Pack
Bring casual clothes and comfortable walking shoes. T-shirts,
shorts and jeans are suitable. A sweater and a jacket that
can be worn in layers are recommended. Overcoat or down
jacket is not needed unless it is winter (December - March).
Electricity
In Ethiopian, 220 volts AC, 50Hz is the standard. Two-Pin
and three-pin sockets are in use.

There
are two seasons: the dry season prevails from October through
May: the wet season runs from June to September
