of ancient legend and fascinating attractions as Ethiopia.
This land locked country of 1,235,000sqmt (476,833sqml)
is twice the size of France.
Ethiopia is a country split diagonally by an act of nature
- the cleavage known as the Great Rift Valley, which stretches
from the dead sea between Israel and Jordan and down the
length of East Africa to Enter the sea in Mozambiqu. It
enters Ethiopia from the red sea through Eritrea in a ''Y''
formation north of the border with Djibouti, then runs southward,
producing a chain of small lakes beyond Addis Ababa, to
leave the country at lake Turkana (formerly Rudolf) and
enter Kenya.
